song-a-day

One day I got a Facebook message from my long-time bud from High School.

“hey. we should send each other a song a day. just ’cause.”

This idea is totally up my alley.  We use the word generator to pick a theme for the song. One person picks a word with the word generator, the other person responds with a song to fit the word.  It is a creative challenge and a lot of fun.  Favorite examples include :

“Incarcerated”- Zombies:Care of Cell 44. “Instruction” – They Might Be Giants:Clap Your Hands. “Forceful”- The Pixies:Tame. “Luck“ – Nena/JayZ Mash-Up:LuftProblems. “Stoic“-His Name Is Alive:This World Is Not My Home. “Excess”- Brother Danielson:Things Against Stuff. .    … right now Im choosing a song for the word “Debt.”

conversation tins – party version

I make conversation tins (see tab at top) and am in the process of making a new batch of tins for a party.  Inside the tins will be  “truth or dare” topics to read and discuss at the party as a game.  If you have any Truth or Dare conversation tin ideas, post them in a comment -  I would love to use your ideas!  Here are some examples:

Truth:  If you could enter this party with any celebrity  as your guest, who would it be

Dare:  Go to one person you don’t know, shake their hand and tell them your name.

This is one of many canvas photo prints that I’ll be selling this Saturday in Fishtown.  (I hung it on the wall to see how it would look and Ive fallen in love with it in this spot).  In addition to the framed canvas prints,  I’ll be selling conversation tins and limited edition linocuts.  It is THIS Saturday, September 12th at the The Lehigh Avenue Arts Festival  from 12 – 6pm! This event was cancelled due to the rain :(

It’s baby time.  A bunch of people I know are having babies, so I got a bunch of onseis and started ironing simple words and phrases on them.  One of my favorites not shown here is ” I Wuv Jay-Z”.

Sometimes my friend can be a snob, but he’s still my friend.  So I made him some cookes in this offensive little cookie tin and sent it in the mail.
