When I was out in California, Paul and I did a photo shoot in and around Venice and developed our film.   It felt so good to use film again.

In November I met up in NYC with my friend Mark Morrison and his band Lake.

While I was there I got to be in this music video.

My resolution for 2010 is to do photography daily.   Like Annie Leibovitz said, “If I [am] going to live with this thing, I [am] going to have to think about what that means”.. and the best way to do that is to practice it.  So, I’m posting one photo for every day of the new year on Facebook.

This Christmas at Urbanic we did a ton of gift wrapping.. Janean is a pro and gave me training sessions in between sales transactions – It is a great feeling being able to do seamless wrapping for a customer who is watching you do it.  I went from being a disaster in those situations to a champ.

I also assisted on a photo shoot at a charity event that he was hired for.  Two very awesome experiences.

I made another Advent Calendar this year and  I got 24 contributions pretty fast..   Under each door is a topic, thought, memory, feeling or phrase about Christmas submitted by a different person.  The first 24 people that contribute get a handmade calendar for free.

It was a sudden move out of baltimore.  We had an awesome, cheap house with amazing neighbors and happy friends around.  But the house sold, and we had to go.  As I was packing up, I kept noticing all of the things people had made for me.  I see those people in their artwork…

… for being supportive

… for teaching me how to be a nomad

… for spontaneous fun

… for staying awesome

Each photo is titled with a phrase that represents the image and the person who made it.
